Monthly Update

Ideally this meeting would run after the Weekly meeting to ensure you are looking at the most up to date student progress.

Depending on the structure at your school you may have one person filling all the tasks below or different departments updating their sections.


PRIOR TO THE MEETING:

Sales:

☐ Update starts figures to reflect what you are likely to achieve - especially next 6 months

☐ Update student names

☐ Is everyone on the correct syllabi and course type


Training Team:

☐ Update Instructor end dates

☐ Update Instructor leave

☐ Update Instructor upgrade plan

☐ Update Instructor qualifications

☐ Update Instructor recruitment


Maintenance:

☐ Add or delete Aircraft

☐ Add maintenance blocks longer than 1 month


THE MEETING:

☐ Create a new version, name it after the month you are in


Comparing the dashboard to the previous month:


☐ On-time performance: has the % of students expected to finish On-Time improved?

☐ Hours: are you planning more or less hours over the 3 years

☐ Students: are you expecting more or less than last month? Are your total student numbers exceeding any restrictions

☐ Instructors: using the filter on the graph are you short in any type? Are you able to hire or upgrade Instructors in time to meet the student demand?

☐ Fleet: are you short in any type? Are you able to lease or buy aircraft in time to meet the student demand?


If you cant add resource:


☐ Decide which starts can be removed or delayed to allow current students to be slowed down to match what resource is available (its not ideal to take on more students if you cant fly the ones you have regularly enough)

☐ Which students are you going to slow down - what is the lowest strike rate you will fly.

☐ Which students need to have delays planned into their timeline so they don't fly slower than your lowest strike rate


After the meeting:

☐ Instructors: fine tune the recruitment and upgrade plan, communicate back to the team if the levels required can or cant be achieved

☐ Maintenance: communicate back to the team if you can or cant increase the availability or number of aircraft

☐ Planner: based on the Instructor and Aircraft results, plan the students to speed up, slow down or delay as required
