Weekly Planner and Schedule Helper
Using the Weekly Planner
The Weekly Planner helps you fine-tune what you want to happen each week. Hit your weekly plans and you'll stay on track with your long-term plans in AeroPlanned — keeping students on time.
Three Tabs
- Previous Plan — last week
- Current Plan — this week
- Next Plan — a preview of upcoming events
If student data needs refreshing, you'll see an indicator. A tick means you're up to date.
Reviewing Last Week
Start each week here to see how the school went.
The totals show flights required, flown, and dropped (e.g. 183 required, 172 flown, 11 dropped). Click any pink (fails/repeats) or coloured segment to see the affected students.
Break the week down by Instructor, Customer Type, or Location (great for multi-base schools).
Colour key:
- Gold/green = flown
- Blue = extra flights
- Light green = not done
- Pink = fails or repeats
Target Distribution Graph
Shows how many students hit, missed, or exceeded their targets. Students flying ahead while others fall short usually points to scheduling visibility issues — schedulers not seeing clearly who needs what.
Trend lines: black = adjusted target, grey = timeline target, green = actual.
You can add a weekly note explaining drops or overachievement (weather, aircraft availability, etc.).
Tagging Students
Select students who need focus and apply a planning tag (e.g. "speed up"). Tags don't change anything automatically — they're a signal for you and your schedulers.
Setting Up This Week
Open the Current Plan to see totals and the breakdown by instructor.
Why no ratios? 1:4 doesn't mean much — four students could have very different workloads. The planner shows actual flights and hours needed instead.
Filter by your tags to find flagged students, then adjust their targets up or down. The bar updates to reflect the new target.
Note: Adjusted targets only affect this week's plan for schedulers. They don't update long-term timelines.
Notes & Priorities
Add notes and priority tags throughout the planner to communicate with schedulers. Everything stays here for reference.
Schedule Helper
One line per flight (the Weekly Planner shows one line per student).
Each row shows the student, instructor, team, and required resources. Show/hide columns to suit. Completed flights turn grey and drop to the bottom.
Schedulers can filter quickly — e.g. "all priority 1 students" or "all flights needing a DA20" — book what they can, and flag what they can't fit.
During the Week
As updates run, watch the Current Plan bar move. Re-jig priorities if needed and check progress per instructor.
