How to upload a syllabus
To upload a syllabi navigate to the Course page and then select 'Syllabi'
- Click ''Download CSV Template''
- Enter your syllabi details into the CSV file you have just downloaded
- Description: A brief description of the lesson. This should match what you have in a TMS if you are using one.
- Aircraft Type: The options you have to choose from have been set up based on the initial discussion on what types you want available.
- Instructor Type: The options you have to choose from have been set up based on the initial discussion on what types you want available. If you are building syllabi that needs to be flown by a staff training instructor, then enter ‘Standards’ or if the event requires an external examiner you can write ‘Exam’ or 'Flight Test'.
- Event length: how long the syllabus length is for the flight or sim.
- Save this document to your computer
- In Aeroplanned click ‘Add Syllabus’
- Complete the fields
- Syllabus name
- Days to first event: how many days between the student starting and when they do their first flight.
- Events per week: How many syllabi events you want the student on average to do per week.
- Click 'Upload CSV'
- Locate the CSV file you save on your computer and double click
If the CSV has been formatted correctly it will instantly load the syllabi. If there are any issue with the formatting a pop up box will appear letting you know there has been an issue. Things to check if there has been an error are:
- The headings match the template exactly.
- The correct Types for Aircraft and Instructors have been used.
- If there is a ground school block that this has been entered in the correct format.
