Instructor training plan

When entering an instructor you can simply add them as one instructor type. However if you have an ideal path that your Instructors usually follow for upgrades this can easily be entered. Doing this improves the accuracy of Aeroplanned as you are better forecast the training demand, allowing you to spot bottlenecks early. You will be able to see if you can run enough upgrades in time to have the correctly qualified Instructors to fly with the students.

Most schools feel ME is the bottleneck for Instructor resource but for a school that has a high instructor turn over and is also trying to grow the biggest bottleneck is the Senior Instructors needed to train other instructors and examiners eg FII's, FIE's, Check Instructors, A-Cats etc

It is very easy to add in an upgrade pattern you simply need to enter an Instructor as normal and then click ''Add another'' a the bottom of the modal.

You can see in the example below the school has estimated the Instructor will be with them for 18 months. The first 4 months as a CFI, the next 6 months as a CFII and the last 9 months as ME.

Its unlikely an Instructor will follow this exact pattern but it should be a much closer representation of what is likely to happen than just assuming an Instructor is a CFI for 18 months.

Once you have created one pattern you can then simply click the ''Duplicate'' button which will copy the entire setup so all you need to do is change the Instructor name.
